A short walk puts you right into the action on the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk, but the Manta Ray is a welcome, peaceful and quiet place to relax versus the hustle and bustle of the properties on the Broadwalk. Beach lounges and towels are provided, an amenity that costs upwards of $50 a day at the hotels on the strip. The cozy apartments are a stone's throw from the ocean and you have everything you need from a blender and corkscrew to BBQ grills outside. I made a mistake with my travel dates this winter and the owners bent over backwards to accommodate us. The owners of this clean, well-kept and perfectly located resort have become like family as well, as have the other guests who vacation during the same time period. We finally had a week-long reunion in the sunshine with our recently engaged son, his fiance and my daughter from Boston. We have been coming to the Manta Ray Inn for a number of years now. Thank you Donna and Thomas for everything! We will see you again soon. The fact this family has owned Manta Ray for 30 years shows that it has been well run with care, keeping the guest's comfort in mind. We truly enjoyed our 5 days at this property and will be recommending it to our friends (including airline colleagues) and family. The location is amazing being right on the ocean.
That is something important to me, that the unit is clean and in good shape and this certainly was.
The living room nicely decorated and the whole unit is in really good shape. The furniture was clean, updated, the beds comfortable, beach towels included. The owners have ensured everything is thought of in terms of what guests might need. Our 1 bedroom was ocean front and it literally was a home-away from -home. They were so helpful in getting us orientated to the area - giving us information on the Sun Bus, the broadwalk and different restaurants in the area. Donna and Thomas were so kind and accommodating answering every question we had. This was our first trip to Manta Ray Inn - and certainly not our last. Also the maintenance staff, I don’t know her name, was very very nice! This will for sure be our go to place every year while visiting Florida! Thank you for making us feel welcomed and like family! … Most mornings Michelle was there- one of the owners/family members, and we chatted a lot! She was very friendly and kind. Every morning I’d wake up and go sit outside with my breakfast on the patio. All were provided ( shower chair was a tad beat up, I’d recommend a new one, but it was still doable). I also needed extra things like a shower chair, more shower rugs, and ice for my knees. The owners contacted me back immediately and we booked it. The owners of this Inn were incredibly accommodating! I called weeks before our planned trip and asked to reserve the same room we had last year because it was ground floor, wheelchair and crutches accessible, and right on the patio. We loved it!
